Privacy and Cybersecurity

We are preparing for the 2023 Oregon session's privacy and

cybersecurity legislation. We urge for consumer data privacy,

an Oregon Chief Privacy Officer, an Oregon Cybersecurity

Council and Oregon Cybersecurity Center of Excellence.

Our critical cyber infrastructures, cyber hygiene education,

consumer data and individual privacy protections, and

emergency preparedness, including ransomware protection,

all deserve our attention.

Elections—the cornerstone of democracy—are among critical

cyber infrastructures. Defending democracy requires

protection from escalating cyber-attacks and disinformation.

Our policy debates will determine the future of privacy, the future of the internet, and the future of democracy.
